Registration for 2012 will kick off Saturday, March 3, from 9am-12pm in the Holy Grounds Youth Center.
For children entering grades 1 through 5.
Campers may register for any one or combination of weeks.
- Camp is offered Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
- Cost is $200 per week. A non-refundable $25 registration fee, one week of tuition ($200) plus a $50 deposit for all additional weeks of registration is required to hold your space. (For example, if you register for all 7 weeks of camp, your non-refundable registration cost would be $525 or $25 + $200 + 300(6 x $50).)
- Remaining tuition for camp ($200-$50 deposit = $150 per week) is due by June 1, 2012.
- SPY Swimming and Artworks will offer after-camp programs to help extend your programming day.
- Campers will enjoy adventures on Wednesdays, will have two opportunities to swim in the SPY pools, and more each week!
THEMES FOR SUMMER SPECTACULAR 2011
June 20-24 Adventureland - Campers will enjoy of the fun activities that every summer should have from sports to crafts, dry and wet, and much more. Campers will have an extended day field trip to Watkins Regional Park in Prince Georges County.
June 27-July 1 The Next Contestant - Campers will experience what it takes to be a contestant on the popular games shows, such as Minute to Win It, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Price Is Right, and many more. This week will be filled with various games and includes some trips to local businesses.
July 5-8 Back to Nature - Campers will enjoy old fashion nature with crafts and games that involve being outside and using outside resources. Campers will have an extended day field trip to a botanical garden in Montgomery County.
July 11-15 Camp Survivor 2011 - Just like last year campers will be divided into tribes to compete for the Ultimate Survivor. New this year is individual immunity challenges! The challenges include strength, brains, and just plain old fun. A field trip Lake Waterford Park is included.
July 18-22 Under the Big Top - Campers will get to join the Circus for a week by performing like clowns and not getting in trouble. Campers will have an opportunity to get their hair colored and face painted.
July 25-29 CSI - There was a crime committed at the Community Center and all hands are needed on deck to solve this. Someone broke into the center and destroyed the camp room. Things are a mess and as of now we are not sure if anything is missing. Campers will take fingerprints, interview suspects, and take pictures of the crime scene to help solve this mystery. There is a possibility of guest visitors at camp this week.
August 1-5 Summer Spectacular Cruise - Campers will make many stops to fun places just like on a real cruise. There will be towel animal making, karaoke, dance contests, water fun and much more. The last day of camp includes a waterslide and more fun with the possibility of a cook out as well!
Each week campers will enjoy a new fun-filled theme with coordination of activities around that theme. Choose one week or up to all seven!

WHAT TO BRING Campers will be spending time each day outdoors. On many days, they will also be getting wet. Campers should bring a school-type backpack stocked with the following items: * Sunscreen * Hat or Cap * Water Bottle * Sunglasses * Rain Gear as needed
On swimming days, campers should ALSO bring the following items: * Beach Towel * Water Socks or Sandals * Swimwear (Girls) Bathing Suit w/ shorts & T-shirt or Cover-up * Swimwear (Boys) Swim Trunks & T-shirt
WHAT TO WEAR Wear comfortable and appropriate summer clothing for a fun-filled day of activities - shorts, T-shirts, sneakers (rather than sandals recommended)
FOOD Campers should bring a bag lunch each day except when notified. Campers may bring money for snow cones on pre-announced days during the week.
Due to several serious allergies, we ask that you not send lunches with peanut products (peanut butter, peanut/peanut butter candies, etc.) to camp.
